World Book Day 2023!
World Book Day is one of our favourite days of the year at Church Vale!
- Everyone dressed up as their favourite book character, and bought in the book too so we could share.
- There was a 'Best dressed' 1st and 2nd prize for each year group. 1st place received a voucher, 2nd place received a free book.
- There was a parade at 9am so classes could show their costumes!
- At 10.30 we held 'The big book class swap' where classes doubled up (see below) and older children read stories to the younger children.

- At 1.45pm The big book quiz is back!! Children answered questions based on their class books (questions provided by teachers). There was also a staff round of questions!
- £2 book sale was after school
Your teachers will be planning lots of lovely reading activities for you and we hope it will be an amazing day to celebrate reading.

Community Lego Workshop!
Years 1 to 6 took part in the fantastic Community Builders Lego workshop this term. We learned how to construct buildings and moving vehicles as well as how to create successful communities. We constructed hospitals, hotels, stables, fire stations and much more! Check out the photos...
