Communication during the Covid-19 pandemic

We’re delighted that we’ll all be back at school from the 8th and that we can all say a fond farewell to home learning, hopefully forever! As we prepare to welcome our children back, we want to share how we will need to organise Church Vale and our bubbles. We have tried to look at ways to make it more like normal, but this can only work of course if all adults continue to wear masks on school’s site and follow social distancing rules. Same as before, if you need to speak to the office please use telephone or email if possible.

We will be back to full school uniform, still coming to school in PE kit on your child’s PE day and we need to make sure that every child has does at least 3 home reads every week please – we’ll also tweak our reading reward prizes so that our brilliant readers don’t miss out!

We will continue our additional Covid-security measures during the school day: keeping all of our bubbles apart and making sure we have enhanced cleaning of surfaces and having the children washing their hands regularly. We will also be opening the windows in our teaching areas more, especially as the colder months are now behind us.

Key Stage 2 children can arrive at 8:45 IF they have younger siblings starting at that time - they will line up round the back and an adult will be on duty from 8:45. Please leave your child at the gate and let them make their own way round. Similarly, at pick up time, please let them make their own way out and meet you at the gate or at the bottom of the hill.

Users of the Warsop Vale Bus service:

For parents who use the Warsop Vale Glenn Ryder bus, we will allow all of these children to leave at 3:00pm

Breakfast and After-School Wraparound Care

We will still be offering both of these.

Breakfast Club: 7:30 until 8:45

After-School Care: 3:10 until 5:00

We will not be able to guarantee that children from different bubbles in childcare will be able to be kept separate. We are still restricting this to working parents and still asking that parents only use this service when there are no other options.

Obviously we hope that bubble closures are behind us now. Please continue to do your upmost to follow the guidance and help us to keep our school family safe.
