Dr David Robinson Assembly
Dr David Robinson (PhD) is a scientist at Nottingham Trent University. He came in to talk to the children about possibilities, our Church Vale Values, and showed the children how science can help us pop balloons with just an orange peel!
The children enjoyed the assembly and we have some budding scientists for the future.
Cllr Sue Swinscoe and Cllr Andy Burgin Classroom Visits
Cllr Sue Swinscoe and Cllr Andy Burgin came into school to talk about working in the community, one of our Church Vale Values, and inspired the children to help others, too! The children enjoyed talking about the community and had lots of their questions answered.
The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Picnic and BBQ!
We celebrated 70 years of our Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, by hosting a huge picnic. We also planted an apple tree! We enjoyed spending time together as a community.

Church Vale School choir had the amazing opportunity to visit Kelham Hall in Newark.
We spent the afternoon singing pop songs and even mixed songs together.
The person who led it has worked with Jessie J and Joss Stone and even is the vocal coach for The Voice!
