We have a ‘Be a RockStar’ Maths target which changes each half term.  This can be found in the back of reading diaries and there is a box to sign each time they complete a practice.   This term we are focusing on counting from 0-50 and addition and subtraction skills.

A homework menu will also be sent home at the beginning of each term. Please complete the tasks throughout the term and send us photographs of things you have made. You can email these to us at or You can also upload photos to the class SeeSaw page. We will look forward to seeing what you get up to.

Below is a copy of our Welcome to Year 1 letter with further information.

Fab Phonics in Year 1!

In year 1, we love phonics! We are working hard to learn our letter sounds in our reading and in our writing. We have fun reading 'alien' and 'nonsense' words using our fab phonics to decode the word.

Here are some useful links to support learning phonics at home. Have fun :)
